Just a quick update on the status of MTA 5E. We loaded the books on the trucks yesterday afternoon and they are headed back to Walsworth. They should arrive tomorrow (Wed) and I hope to have some news by week's end.

SHIPPING HAS BEGUN! The 5th Edition Role Playing Monsters & Treasure of Aihrde is in! We have begun shipping and hope to have a good half of them shipped before close of business tomorrow and the other half by Tuesday of next week. You should receive shipping notices as we roll these suckers out. So look to the mail!

So I sent the last update out prematurely. When the 5th Ed MTA arrived on Tuesday (the 27th) I cleared them after checking a few random boxes. The books seemed fine. I clearly did not check enough boxes however. The more we got into the books and began packing the more we found a splitting on the laminate on the front gutter. I told everyone to stop packing and to open random boxes and check books (we print far more than we need for the Kickstarter). The number of split gutters was staggering.
I contacted the printer and they were very generous and asked if they could issue an immediate recall on the book so they could take the books back and reprint. I took them up on their offer.
The recall ships on Monday, they should have them by middle of the week and will move to get enough books to cover the Kickstarter immediately. So with luck by end of week next week (its all going to depend on the freight companies at this point) we'll have them back in our hands and out to you.
A note on the damages. See the pictures below. I know many of you are very generous and will
say "just ship it to us." But trust me when I tell you those small splits you see in the gutter will quickly grow to tears and that wrinkled endsheet that connects the book block to the cover will make the overall binding loose and allow your book block to shift which puts too much stress on the end sheet itself and it will tear. So inside of a year you'll have a pile of paper loosely connected to a spine.
I apologize for this latest delay. There is no excuse for any of it. But we will make it right.
